We have started planning the nursery scheme and registering for baby gear. As far as the material things go, I am most excited about books. I think we read and scanned nearly 20 books in Target alone. And now I understand why adults used to tear up while reading Love You Forever. I choked up in the book aisle reading it as a grown-up! We want our little one to read the same books we adored and learned from, but he or she will choose their own favorites over time. I wonder what they'll be!
Here are a few of our favorites. And I mean few because I could go on all day about children's books!
Any Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle, or Golden Book is a great one!

My favorite book of all time is The Giving Tree. It makes me cry and feel so happy at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great one! A must have for both of our babies' libraries! :)
ReplyDeleteLove You Forever was one of my favorites! Other favorites were: The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear and Bedtime for Frances. :) Glad to have found you through the Pennyweight blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your suggestions and reading! We will definitely check out the other titles you recommended! :)
